Sprouts Farmers Market will open its newest location at 327 Highway 35 in Cliffwood on Friday, June 7, the company said in a news release. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 6:45 a.m. and the store will open at 7 a.m.

In the release, Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini said the township was excited for Sprouts to open.

"In addition to providing fresh, healthy, and specialty foods to our residents, Sprouts also brings 100 jobs to our community, playing a vital role in our vision of Aberdeen becoming the best township to live, raise a family, and grow a business," said Mayor Tagliarini.

Sprouts has more than 400 supermarkets nationwide but the Aberdeen store will be just the third in New Jersey. The Arizona-based chain has two locations in the Philadelphia area in Haddon Township and Marlton.

Starting in 2002, Sprouts said it had a unique grocery experience centered around fresh produce.

"Sprouts inspires wellness naturally with a carefully curated assortment of better-for-you products paired with purpose-driven people," the company said. "The healthy grocer continues to bring the latest in wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free."

Sprouts also said it will have fresh food from Garden State growers and companies.

"Sprouts Farmers Market is invested in serving the communities where it operates," the company said. "It works with local farmers like New Jersey like Eastern Fresh Growers, Flain Farms, and Sunny Valley International – The Jersey Fruit Company, and others to source local produce."

The grand opening weekend of the Aberdeen store will have several activities, including a "pop-up party" that will allow customers to sample produce at a tasting bar. There will also be a contest for guests to guess the weights of oversized produce.

The first 100 shoppers on the first two days will get a free reusable goodie bag with special products and samples. Customers also have the chance to win a $500 gift card until midnight on Sunday, June 9 if they sign up on the Aberdeen store's website.

Shoppers can text "DEEN" to 777688 to receive 20 percent off a purchase over the opening weekend.

The Aberdeen store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
